About Bill Black Chevrolet in Greensboro, NC
Since 1955, our Dealership has built a reputation on providing courteous, honest service. Our customers appreciate the way we do business, and we know you will too. Bill Black Chevrolet originated in 1955 as Black Cadillac Olds under the ownership of Bill Black II. The dealership was located on East Market Street in the heart of downtown Greensboro. In September of 1966, the dealership moved to its current location of 601 East Bessemer Avenue at the intersection of Yanceyville Street. Bill Black III became dealer principal in December of 1986. He has led the company through over 20 years of growth and change in the automotive industry. In December of 2000, GM announced the phase out of the classic line of Oldsmobile. Oldsmobile had been the volume product for the dealership, and Bill Black knew it would be a challenge to find an appropriate replacement. In April of 2004, Bill Black purchased North State Chevrolet. Keeping many of North State’s long time employees and their reputation of putting the customer first, it was the perfect marriage of product and people. Now Bill Black Chevrolet continues to serve the Triad with unparalleled customer service, and two of the best, most reliable products in the GM line up. With one of the largest Service Departments in the Southeast, a highly reputed Collision Repair Center, a committed Commercial Sales team, a Featherlite Trailer line, the largest Professional Car Division in the Southeast and family-owned tradition to boot, Bill Black Chevrolet is your one stop solution to buy a used or new car in Greensboro NC and for all of your automotive needs.
