Name: Bill Black

Bill is a part of the second generation of family ownership, the business was started by his father Bill Black II in 1955. Bill began working at the dealership in the summer of 1961 in the paint shop to keep in reasonable shape for the beginning of football season. He worked in the paint shop until he was old enough to get a drivers license and then as a technician in New Car Prep. Soon he began assisting the automotive technicians, and shifted to a Service Advisor. He moved to new and used car sales in 1969. Upon graduating from Guilford College in 1971 and attending General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan, he became Cadillac Sales Manager. He became President and Dealer Operator in 1986.
When asked why he chose the automotive profession, Bill says, “After starting in the business at such an early age, I really did not think of doing anything else. I had become part of the business as much as it had become a part of me. I knew so many of the employees personally and we got along well, and I wanted to contribute to a successful business in the future.”
When asked what he likes most about owning this business, Bill says it the people he works with everyday, and the people he is able to meet while working here. Outside of work, Bill enjoys playing ice hockey, Sports Car Racing – Member of SCCA for 20 years, running, sailing, biking. Amateur Radio Advanced Class license: WA4BVK. Bill has 3 grown children- 2 in the business; and 4 grandchildren. His community involvement includes:
CIVIC - Served as Chairman of the Greensboro Area Chamber of commerce and United Way Campaign Chairman; Past president of Gate City Kiwanis Club and Past Chairman of Greensboro Merchants Association.

Ron McKinney
Name: Ron McKinney
Title: Controller/ Assistant General
Ron has been a part of the Bill Black team since 1985. Ron was born and raised in Reidsville and attended Rockingham County Schools. He then attended Rockingham Community College AAS in Business Administration and graduated with honors in 1971. He then furthered his education at Guilford College earning a BS Degree in Accounting in 1975. Ron received his Certified Public Accounting Licensure in 1977.
Prior to joining Bill Black, Ron worked for Tal Williams and Fred Watkins Enterprises from 1977-1982 as Chief Accountant/ Executive Management- the enterprises included some 26 business entities in NC, Virginia and Georgia. From 1982-83 Ron was an Officer, Controller and Commercial Sales for Southland Truck Sales in Charlotte. Just prior to joining Bill Black, Ron served as Controller of Jim Simmons Pontiac Buick GMC and Jim Simmons Toyota. Ron is a part of the Executive Management team serving as the Corporate Vice President and Secretary of Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac.
Ron married Vickie Thompson McKinney in 1970. Vickie is a Principal for Moss Street Elementary School. They have 3 children Bracken, 36; Christy, 35; Cortney, 27. They have 4grandchildren Ian, Mason, Brycen, and Grayson.

Stewart Black
Name: Stewart Black
Title: Vice President, Sales
As a part of the third generation of family involvement, Stewart began working part time at the age of 15. Through the years, Stewart has worked in the body shop and the service department; he has detailed sold and service vehicles, driven the courtesy van, sold cars and now serves as the Cadillac Sales Manager. Stewart is a 2004 graduate of the NADA Dealer Candidate Academy.
Stewart joined the car business for a love of cars and working with people. His favorite thing about the company is the family atmosphere and our customers.
Stewart has two young children, Will age 3 and Burke age 10 months. His hobbies and interests include playing center or left wing for the American Revolution team in Adult "C" League Hockey, racing cars with his father (see our Motorsports Page). He also loves golfing, fishing and hunting.

Jerry McPherson
Name: Jerry McPherson
Title: General Sales Manager
Jerry’s career in the Automobile Business began in November of 1965 in the Parts Department. Since then, Jerry has served as a Parts Manager, Service Manager, Parts and Service Director, General Manager, and General Sales Manager. Jerry joined Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac with the acquisition of Northstate Chevrolet where he had worked for 25 years. Jerry became interested in the automobile business because, “as a kid I loved anything with a steering wheel: cars, trucks, tractors, go-karts, etc!” Jerry values working for a family owned organization where the owner is involved in day-to-day operations.
Jerry is married to Joyce McPherson. He has a son Jerry Jr, and a step daughter Carol. His favorite hobbies are quail hunting, duck hunting and turkey hunting. He enjoys cooking, especially the game from his hunting trips. He has a small farm where he raises beef cattle, and enjoys working on the farm on his tractor in his spare time. He is a member of Pleasant Garden United Methodist Church where he is an usher. He volunteers on the Advisory Council for United Cerebral Palsy/ Easter Seals.
Pets: 4 English Setters and a Brittany Spaniel for hunting; a yellow lab for duck hunting (and one of his best buddies!) and 2 inside cats that are great pets and very spoiled (by Joyce).

Tricia Black Merrell
Name: Tricia Merrell
Title: Director of Marketing
As a part of the third generation of family involvement, Tricia became a part of the company in high school in various clerical capacities. She attended NC State University where she earned a BA in English with a focus in Writing and Editing/ Marketing. Out of college she worked for Business Leader Magazine in Raleigh as the editor. She then decided to explore the car business by way of customer relations and business development. She worked for a dealership in Raleigh for two years in order to gain experience before joining Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac in 2003. She is a graduate of the NADA Dealer Candidate Academy. Her favorite thing about the company is the family atmosphere and working with people inside and outside of the company.
Tricia is married to Chad Merrell and they have two small children, Preston 2 and Mary Grace 11 months old. Her interests include spending time with her family, going to the beach, sampling fine wine, spending time with friends, and seeing plays and movies in any spare time!
She is involved with the Prelude Society (Young Professionals of the United Arts Council), The Junior League of Greensboro, and the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.

Nancy Cusimano
Name: Nancy Cusimano
Title: Office Manager
Nancy joined Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac in 1979, choosing the automobile business out of as she says, "luck!" Nancy has worked in many capacities in the company and serves as a part of the Executive Management Team. When asked what Nancy enjoys most about working with the company she replies, "the wonderful people at Bill Black and receiving a paycheck, not neccessarily in that order!"
Nancy and husband Mike live on a small farm with their two 'retired' quarter horses and never seem to run out of things to do there. They vacation out west every 2-3 years for their love of hiking and horseback riding. So far they have visited Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, South Dakota and Utah.

Mark Dodson
Name: Mark Dodson
Title: Chevrolet Sales Manager
Mark joined the Bill Black team 2 years ago as the Chevrolet Sales Manager with over 6 years of Chevrolet Sales experience. Mark has worked in various capacities including sales, used car manager and then new car sales manager. Mark joined the automobile business for the love of cars that goes back as far as he can remember. Before joining the business, he bought and sold used cars as a hobby while serving 11 years with the local Sherrif’s department. Mark enjoys the family atmosphere at Bill Black, and strives to treat people the same way he likes to be treated. His goal is to make every purchase at Bill Black the best purchase experience for every customer.
Mark has been married to his wife Jennifer for over 25 years. They have one son, Craig who just graduated in the class of 08 from UNCG with a degree in elementary education. Outside of work, Mark enjoys golf, saltwater fishing, and trips to the beach. Mark is a member of Cedar Cliff Methodist Church. He also belongs to the Carolinas GM Truck Club.

Jeff Davis
Name: Jeff Davis
Title: Used Car Manager
Jeff joined Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac in 1982 brand new to the car business. He began the job as an interim position waiting to take a job with a brokerage firm. He fell in love with the car business and turned down the brokerage job telling them he had ‘found a home!’ Jeff enjoys the work environment at Bill Black and says the people he works with (employees and customers) “are fantastic.” Jeff enjoys the integrity that backs him at Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac, knowing that the company always will take care of the customer.
Jeff is married to Rhonda Davis, they are both graduates of Mars Hill College.
They have one son, Clark who is a senior at Appalachian State University. On his ‘free time,’ Jeff enjoys golf and playing blues and rock on one of his Gibson guitars. On the weekends when he isn’t working, you will find Jeff riding on his pontoon boat or watching his son wakeboard. He enjoys finishing his day by firing up the grill and watching the sunset on Badin Lake.

Roddy McKenzie
Name: Roddy McKenzie
Title: Internet Sales Director
Roddy joined Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac June 2007 as a veteran of the Chevrolet division and online sales management. He began his profession here as an internet sales consultant then migrated to internet manager as our online business grew. He is a 9 year veteran of the US Airforce where he learned discipline and working as a team player. Roddy enjoys the work environment at Bill Black and says the people he works with (employees and customers) “are second to none.” Roddy has worked at other Chevrolet Dealers in the Triad area and found that Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac really takes very good care of its customers and employees as a family owned business.
Roddy has been in the automotive business ever since he was honorably discharged in 1995 from the Airforce and started his career since September of 1995 at then North State Chevrolet. He’s an avid pool player, football and golf fan.

Fred has been a part of the Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac team for 9 years. In those 9 years, Fred has spent 6 years in Sales and 3 years in the finance department. Fred joined Bill Black in the previously owned Volkswagen store and joined the Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac team in 2004 when the Volkswagen store was sold. During his time selling Volkswagens, Fred was recognized as one of the top sales professionals in the region from 2001- 2004. In 2002, Fred was awarded one of the Top 50 Sales Professionals in North America. Fred joined the auto business because he enjoys working with people and assisting in their needs. He has always enjoyed cars. Fred likes the people and the way the managers care for the employees at Bill Black. He appreciates that the company values each employees’ time with their family- he believes this is because of Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac being a family owned and operated business.

Rick is married to Libby Wilson who is a CPA and the Finance Officer for Starmount Presbyterian Church. They have 4 children- two sons, Rich and Jeffrey and two daughters Laura and Olivia. Larry Clayton
Name: Larry Clayton
Larry joined Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac with the acquisition of North State Chevrolet in 2004. He has worked in the automobile business for 16 years. Larry became a part of the car business because he had several friends who had joined and really enjoyed it. Larry thought it would make for a fun and exciting career. One of the things Larry enjoys about working at Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac, is how involved they stay in the community. Larry thinks that the Bill Black name has an outstanding reputation for its community participation in local events. Larry thinks this also shows in day to day business, as Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac is 100% dedicated to the customers.
Larry has been married to his wife Martha for 36 years. During his time off, they enjoy spending time at the Outer Banks of NC. Larry says, “I find nothing more relaxing than being in the surf fishing.” When Larry is not at work on the weekend, he enjoys looking after his farm. He usually plants 10-15 acres of food plots each year for wildlife habitat. When time permits, Larry also enjoys hunting and shooting sports or just getting out and riding his Polaris 700 ATV.

Ed Daugherty

Ed has been selling cars in the Triad since 1988. He joined Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac with the acquisition of North State Chevrolet in 2004. Ed’s clientele return to him for their car needs because of his friendly, honest and no pressure demeanor. Once his customers work with him, they know all of the details and ‘nuts and bolts’ about the vehicles they are interested in. Ed gives sound guidance on how the vehicles meet each customer’s family needs. Ed has been repairing and maintaining vehicles since he was a teenager. His dad taught him much of what he knows about cars. Working in an auto garage in his early 20’s expanded that knowledge. Ed just plain LOVES cars! Ed enjoys working at Bill Black because he enjoys working in a family owned and operated business, and especially one that is looking towards the future and valuing what prospective clients need and want: vehicles for all stages of life!
Ed has been married to his wife Rose for 36 years. They have 2 grown children, Chrissy who is married to Ron Wimberly and Phil who is married to December Shoemaker. Ed and Rose have fun with their 3 grandchildren: Ryan, Julianne and Ian! Ed and his family are originally from a small town in Pennsylvania (Greenville) and moved to Greensboro in 1992. Ed and Rose are involved with their church, St. Pius Tenth Catholic Church. They enjoyed camping while the children were younger, but now their ‘off time’ is devoted to traveling, get-togethers with friends and extended family, gardening and an occasional golf game.

Gene Tucker
Name: Gene Tucker
Gene joined Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac in January 2003 as a sales consultant. He continues to be an integral part of the sales department as well as assisting in GM Sales Training Requirements. Gene became interested in the automotive industry while working at Guilford Mills where he had the opportunity to work with the “Big Three” as a headliner and body cloth supplier. After his textile career, he wanted to be a part of the end product, especially GM products- to learn about them and demonstrate their quality to his customers. Gene enjoys working at Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac because of the company’s credibility and integrity not only in the automotive business, but in the community as well. Gene loves the challenging nature of auto sales and working with great, dedicated managers and people.
Gene is married to his wife Susan, with one daughter Gina. Outside of work, Gene enjoys cooking meals out on his grill while listening to music. He has a love of music, is a professional drummer and has had several bands. He enjoys growing his own vegetables, working in the yard and doing ‘handyman’ chores around the house.

Scott Randolph
Name: Scott Randolph
Scott has been a part of the Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac team for 21 years. Prior to joining Bill Black, Scott sold Nissans for 3 years in Texas. Before getting into the car business, Scott was employed by Getty Oil Company for 17 years. He was a draftsman mainly working in a sitting position in a closed area. This made him decide to get out into a new career where he would “see the world and meet lots of interesting people.” Scott says, “I haven’t seen the world, but I sure have met some interesting people in car sales!” Scott enjoys working at Bill Black because of the products it has to offer, the best management team he’s ever had the change to work with, and the best service department around. Scott believes this dealership tries to work with every customer’s wish and gives everyone a fair chance. As a sales consultant, Scott feels that he really brings a sincere and honest approach to selling cars and really enjoys seeing a completely satisfied customer leave with a new or pre-owned car.
Scott is divorced with two children, ages 17 and 19. He is very proud of them- as one is in college at NC State and the other a Senior at Guilford Middle. Outside of work, Scott is an avid baseball fan! He enjoyed watching his kids play over the past 12 years and he coached some of their teams as well. He collects baseball cards- with well over 300,000 cards and memorabilia going back to the mid-60’s. Scott also enjoys working out- he has been working out with his son for the past 2 ½ years. Scott says, “I really enjoy the time it gives us together as well as the physical results from the hard effort we both put into it!” Scott also enjoys a good movie and most any sporting event.

Eddie Simpson
Name: Eddie Simpson
Eddie has been with Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac for almost 2 years, and has been in the automobile business for 16 years. Eddie chose his profession because he loves cars and working with people. He says, “It gives me pleasure to assist customers in their decision on a new car.” Eddie thinks Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac is a great company to work for because both customers and employees are treated so well. He says, “The customer service is the best around- in both the sales and service departments. You can buy a Chevrolet or Cadillac, but you will always receive the ‘Cadillac service and experience.’”
Eddie is married to wife Abby. All of their children are grown, but they have one foster child living with them who they love dearly. They also have several grandchildren.

Name: James Gwynn
James began his career at Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac on February 15th of 1988- he has been with the company now for 21 years. James chose to become a part of the automobile business because he loves to sell and working with people. James enjoys working at Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac because of the reputation of the company and its longevity in the community.

Charles has been in commercial and fleet sales for 10 years. He joined Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac in 2004 with the acquisition of North State Chevrolet. Charles says he became a part of the automobile business because he has always been a ‘car guy’ and working with people, so the auto industry was a natural fit. Prior to joining the auto business, Charles owned his own business.
Charles enjoys the family atmosphere the most about Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac. He says, “Working at Bill Black, a family owned and operated business, suits my personality best. The employees here make it feel like home, and our customers become friends and family.”
Charles has been married to his wife Sharon for 29 years, and they have one son Bo who resides in Charlotte N.C. Outside of work, Charles’s hobbies include classic muscle cars, riding his Harley, and spending time with family at their lake house on High Rock Lake.
A very important aspect of Charles’s life is his family involvement in his son’s non-profit organization, Back-To-Life. Back-To-Life was established to help people attain prosthetics when their insurance would not cover the cost.

Brian Dobbins
Name: Brian Dobbins
Brian joined the Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac team at Bill Black in July of 2006. He has been in commercial sales for 7 years and has a total of 12 years Chevrolet sales experience.
Brian enjoys working at Bill Black because everyone here is like family. Our dealership is very well known in the local community and a lot of our customers have become really close friends of his.
Brian is a single Dad of 2. His daughter Brandy is 15 and his son Cory is 12.
Away from the dealership, Brian enjoys golf, paintball, fishing, mountain biking, riding his Harley and pretty much anything else that goes fast or has wheels on it. He also enjoys going to car & bike shows.
Pets: 3 dogs a Black Lab, A Chocolate Lab and a Chesapeake Bay Retriever .

Alfred Clark
Name: Alfred Clark
Alfred began his career at Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac on September 15, 1983 in the leasing department. He moved to the finance and insurance department on July 4, 1984 and recently transitioned to the Professional Car Division. Alfred started in the auto business in 1966- he states, “Once you get cars in your blood, you are in for life!”
Alfred is married to Ronda and he has six children and ten grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys fixing and building things: cars, motorcycles, houses, yards- anything that needs fixing. He also enjoys riding motorcycles, traveling and camping, golf, and water sports. He enjoys listening to music of all types but his favorites are country and blues. His water sports include an old seadoo and a truck tire tube.
Pets: None but he likes most animals…
Favorite sports team: College Sports but no die hard favorites.

Brent Phillips
Name: Brent Phillips
Title: Featherlite Sales Specialist/ Chevrolet Cadillac Sales Consultant
Brent joined the Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac team in October 2005 as a Featherlite Sales Specialist. He chose the auto/trailer business because he enjoys working with people and understood the quality behind the Featherlite Trailer line. Brent is also a "Chevy truck guy" and says "there's no better truck to tow a Featherlite trailer than a Chevy," so naturally joining Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac to sell Featherlite trailers was a perfect fit for Brent! Brent also works in the Chevrolet and Cadillac sales department and can assist customers in their purchase of any new or pre-owned vehicle.
Brent is married to Sharon Phillips and they have two young children, Kallie and Kolton. In his off time, Brent enjoys Team Roping, Hunting, Fishing and playing sports. He is an active member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church. He serves as a committee member of the Chatham County NWTF.
Pets: A Border Collie named Little Bit, Red Heeler named Sugar and a Roping Horse named Cody.

Lee Tucker
Name: Lee Tucker
Title: Service Manager
Lee has been a part of the Bill Black team for 31 years. He was hired as a technician in October of 1976 after graduating from Rockingham Community College. Lee has served in almost every position in the service department over the years. He worked as a technician for several years, then moved to quality control, shop foreman, service advisor, assistant service manager, and became the service manager in July of 1987. Lee chose to be apart of the automobile business for a love of cars and fixing stuff! He enjoys that Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac is “a great place to work with a great owner who has excellent work ethics.” He loves working with all of the employees and especially enjoys working with each of the customers.
Lee is married to wife Cathy and they have 2 children- a daughter Dana Lee Tucker and son, Joseph Lee Tucker (who now also works at Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac). Outside of work, Lee enjoys helping his son in late model stock car racing. He attends Providence Baptist Church where he teaches adult men in Sunday School every 4th Sunday.

Dan Parr
Name: Dan Parr
Title: Parts Manager
Dan has been a part of the Bill Black team for 30 years. Dan started working in the Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac Parts Department in the Shipping and Receiving Area in January of 1977. He has worked in all the different capacities in the department including stocking, inventory and as a counterman. Dan was promoted to Parts Manager in August of 1999.
Dan is married to Debbie Parr who he met on his first day of work at Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac! Debbie was the Parts Manager’s administrative assistant at the time, and they were married in September of 1978. They have two daughters, Danielle and Diedre. Debbie is now a first grade teacher, Danielle teaches third grade and Diedre will graduate from Guilford College in 2009.
The Parr family attends West Fairfield Baptist Church in High Point where they spend a lot of time working with the many ongoing projects. In August of 2006, Dan received his calling and was ordained as a minister.

Tommy Gentry
Name: Tommy Gentry
Title: Body Shop Manager
Tommy has been a part of the Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac team for 31 years. Tommy began in 1976 in the Service Department after taking Mechanics Classes at Rockingham Community College. Tommy later became the Assistant Service Manager and in 1995 moved to the Body Shop to take over as the Manager. Tommy says, “This is the only place I have ever worked. I enjoy all of the people that I work with. Most people would rather be at home than working, but I truly would rather be here than at home. The people and customers here have become friends.” Tommy joined the automobile business for a love of fixing things and working with his hands on cars.
Tommy has one stepson, Billy who lives in Rockhill, SC. On his off time, Tommy enjoys racing mostly on the short track on Saturday nights. He enjoys being a part of the racing action, being in the heat of the pits and working with the cars. Tommy serves on the Bill Black Motorsports Pit Crew. He also enjoys kayaking on local rivers- especially the Dan and the Mayo. His most incredible journey was down the New River which he says, “will take your breath at times!”

Tony Norris
Name: Tony Norris
Title: Shop Foreman
Tony has been a part of the Bill Black team for 30 years. He was chosen to be the shop foreman for his knowledge and expertise after 4 years as a technician. He has the knack of getting along with others well and troubleshooting/diagnosing problems with the cars.
Tony enjoys the people, benefits, and freedom the most at Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac.
Family: Tony comes from a family of 11 brothers and 4 sisters. He is the 55 year old baby in the family! He has been married for 35 years and they have 2 sons, Phillip who just married May 31st and Matthew who has just gotten engaged.
When Tony is not at work, he is the maid of the home! If he can get away from the housework, he enjoys riding his bicycle, jogging, and working in the yard.
Pets: One Cat, Penny; after 12 years, she does rule the home!

Julian Williamson
Name: Julian Williamson
Julian joined Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac with the acquisition of North State Chevrolet in 2004. He has been a part of the GM side of the automotive industry for 44 years. Julian studied Automotive Technology for 2 years at NC A&T State University. He has completed GM and GM Dealers Automotive Co-Op Training Programs. Julian worked as a technician for 12 years and then was promoted to shop foreman where he works with the technicians to effectively diagnose and repair issues with the autos that come into the service department. Julian is a team builder and assists in keeping all of the technicians properly trained and certified through GM. Julian say he has enjoys working on cars and with other technicians. He enjoys working at Bill Black because they have good, honest people to work with. Julian says his most satisfying accomplishment is making Chevrolet Advisory Council and winning the use of a Corvette for 4 years!
Julian has been married for 41 years and they have one daughter. Outside of work, Julian enjoys working on Classic Cars (he has a 1955 Chevy with Corvette fuel injection), hunting, fishing, and drag racing.

John Hipps
Name: John Hipps
Title: Assistant Service Manager
John started his career at Bill Black in August of 1975 as in Customer Service and Utility Services. He was later promoted to the Warranty Office filing and following warranty claim, later becoming the Service Dispatcher to control and monitor the progress of each vehicle that comes through the service lane. John still works as the primary dispatcher and is also now an assistant service manager. Afterhours John operates the 24-hour Roadside Assistance Vehicle for Cadillac.
John became involved in the business because he enjoys working with people and helping our customers. The thing he likes most about working at Bill Black is the security of the family business during changing times. He enjoys his interaction with customers, serving their needs and making them personal friends inside and outside of the dealership environment.
John is married and outside of work enjoys boating, many different sports, and doing yard work

Name: Billy O’Connor
Title: Service Advisor
Billy has been a member of the Bill Black Chevrolet Cadillac Service Advisor team for 12 years. Billy began in the auto field in high school and then spent 15 years with Sears as a technician, sales and manager. Billy became interested in the automobile business because he has always enjoyed classic and collector cars. Billy enjoys working at Bill Black because it is family owned and operated and has top customer service rankings in the region.
Billy is married with 2 teenage children- a 19 year old son and a 15 year old daughter. Outside of work, Billy enjoys hunting, camping, horseback riding, and working outside at the farm. Billy is also an advocate of the Boy Scouts of America and is a “Proud Eagle Scout.”

Jim Brewer
Name: Jim Brewer
Title: Service Advisor
Jim has been a service advisor for 15 years, Jim came to Bill Black from Northstate Chevrolet with the merging of the two companies. Jim stated in the Retail Automotive business in 1983. Jim became a service advisor because the position ‘seemed natural’ to him. What he likes the most about working at Bill Black are the people and getting to know his customers. Jim had a loyal customer base at Northstate Chevrolet and has grown to be a favorite of many Cadillac customers too. Jim handles some of the many Commercial vehicle customers that come through the service drive.
Jim has five children and is married to wife Lisa. Outside of work, Jim enjoys hunting, fishing and gardening. Jim’s family has one dog and a tank full of fish!

Tim has been a Service Advisor for twelve years. Tim became involved in the business in order to help people and enjoys building trust with his customers by getting to know them over time. Tim says he is intrigued by hearing about people’s vacations, old cars and motorcycles, and that over time he has learned so much from listening to older people. The things Tim likes the most about working at Bill Black are the flexible hours, good pay and benefits, as well as his loyal customers and friends.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys anything having to do with the outdoors! He enjoys fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and loves to travel and see different places.

David has been a part of the Bill Black team for 20 years. Starting as a technician, David enjoyed working with all types of cars and fixing problems to make them run better for the customers. After many years of servicing cars, David decided he wanted to be closer to the customer contact. He was then moved to the position of service advisor. What David enjoys the most about working at Bill Black is the customer interaction and working with the other great employees at Bill Black.
David is married to wife Sandy and they have one daughter, Caroline. Outside of work, David is active with the Lions Club and enjoys fishing. David is also a part of the Bill Black Motorsports Pit Crew.

Michele Pridgen
Name: Michele Pridgen
Title: Cashier
Michele has been a part of Bill Black (and a favorite of many customers!) since January of 1975. Michele says she has done ‘three tours of duty’ through the dealership and now is a cashier and customer relations specialist. What Michele enjoys the most about working at Bill Black is the family atmosphere within the dealership and with our customers.
Michele is married to husband Buster. She has three daughters- Dana, Tonya and Anna and 4 granddaughters- Sydney, Abbey, Madi, and Mya. Outside of work, Michele enjoys gardening, traveling, and attracting all different kinds of birds to their backyard. They have two dogs- yorkies- Chase and Chelsea
